: Inspiration for this album, like most of my other works, stems from a certain mood; just thoughts, plots, visuals moving through my head, basically a soundtrack to what and how I feel. I always think very “cinematic” when I am in the zone of making music.
i am always trying to “paint” aural portraits of moods and unshot scenes…
A reflection of where I am at this very moment in my life; learning to get along with myself and moving to a more peaceful state of mind; and this journey is being fueled by Buddhism as well as Sufism… and Buddhism is a very dope thing to promote.
I achieve my best results from being completely shut away from the world. The creative process always starts with an off the head assembling of samples and sounds, with which I"paint"… the concept of the track comes with the process of making; the process to me is always the more interesting than the actual finished product.
The original title was intended to be: “Every Man a Hell”, which I found too negative, cynic and inhuman… so I rather created a place apart from something you cannot debate with: gravity; as well apart from something which is very personal: hell. I don’t want to present myself as a übercynic inhuman entity… only share a positive creation with some dark undertones.
